Applications Open for "Rural Vacant House Maintenance Project" Until February 20

Icheon City in Gyeonggi Province announced on January 12 that it will be recruiting applicants for the "Rural Vacant House Maintenance Project" until February 20.

Icheon City: "We Support the Demolition of Abandoned Vacant Houses" Icheon City will provide up to 3 million KRW in demolition costs for a total of 48 houses through this year's vacant house maintenance project in rural areas. Rural houses in Icheon that have been left vacant for a long time. Provided by Icheon City

This project aims to demolish rural houses and buildings that have been left unused or uninhabited for more than one year, in order to reduce the risk of safety accidents such as collapse and fire, and to improve the rural landscape. This year, a total of 48 houses will be eligible for support, with up to 3 million KRW provided per house.

Owners of vacant houses who wish to participate must visit their local administrative welfare center with documents proving ownership, such as a building register, real estate registration certificate, or tax ledger, along with photos of the vacant house to be demolished.

The subsidy will only be provided if demolition is completed within this year, so applicants must confirm eligibility in advance before applying.
