On January 12, the National Tax Service announced that it will be recruiting 500 temporary workers for the National Tax Delinquency Management Team.

The temporary workers hired for the National Tax Delinquency Management Team will be active from March to October in special and metropolitan cities where each regional office is located.

The verification staff of the National Tax Delinquency Management Team will first notify delinquent taxpayers by phone and then visit their registered addresses or business sites to thoroughly check their living conditions and payment capabilities. The verification staff will not carry out administrative actions such as issuing demands, imposing seizures, or conducting searches; instead, they will only notify the delinquent taxpayers of their overdue taxes and confirm their living conditions as part of a simple fact-finding task.

The hired temporary workers will receive job training, including compliance with personal information protection, work procedures, and safety and service guidelines, for three days from February 26 to March 3. The working conditions are five days a week, six hours per day. The hourly wage is 10,320 won, with meal and annual leave allowances paid separately.

Applicants must be South Korean nationals aged 18 or older, with no restrictions on educational background or work experience. The National Tax Service plans to ensure a balanced recruitment of young people, women with career interruptions, retirees, persons with disabilities, and national merit recipients. Preference will be given to those with experience in police, firefighting, social welfare, tax work, or statistical surveys.

However, individuals who have received a sentence of imprisonment or higher within the past five years, sex offenders, or those dismissed or removed from office due to disciplinary action, as well as those disqualified under the National Public Service Act, will be excluded from recruitment.

The recruitment notice can be found on the National Tax Service website and on Employment 24. Application documents can be submitted either by email to the relevant regional tax office contact or in person at the regional tax office in the applicant's preferred area. The application period is from January 14 to 20. After document screening and interviews, the final successful candidates will be announced on February 23.
