Thinking of Urban Farming This Year? Ansan City to Offer Weekend Farm Plots from February 5 to 7

The city of Ansan in Gyeonggi Province announced on January 12 that applications for weekend farms will be accepted for three days from February 5 to 7.

This year, 2,604 plots will be available across four locations: Danwon (near Shin Ansan University), Choji Station (in front of Exit 4 of Choji Station), Amusement Park (inside Hwarang Amusement Park), and Sangnok Farm (near Handaeap Station).

The usage fee for each farm is 17,000 won per plot. Only one plot per household can be applied for, under the name of the head of household residing in the city. If multiple applications are submitted from the same household, they will be excluded from the lottery.

Residents wishing to apply can visit the Ansan Agricultural Technology Center in person or apply online through the "Ansan City Integrated Reservation System" website. For in-person applications, applicants must bring the resident registration certificate and ID of the head of household.

The results of the lottery will be notified via text message or KakaoTalk after a computerized drawing. The weekend farm usage period is from March 21 to November 22.
