On January 12, Coinone, a virtual asset exchange, announced the appointment of Kim Cheonseok, former Vice President of Uisikju Company, as its new Chief Operating Officer (COO). The company stated that by bringing in highly specialized management, it aims to further advance its overall operational system and prepare for the next stage of growth.
The newly appointed COO, Kim Cheonseok, is a marketing and sales expert who has achieved results connecting technology and users at leading domestic and international companies. After graduating from the Department of Economics at Seoul National University, he began his career as a marketing manager at SK Telecom. He later worked at global big tech companies such as SK Planet, Google, and Criteo.
Since 2021, he has served as COO and Chief Business Officer (CBO) of Uisikju Company, the operator of the contactless mobile laundry service 'Laundrygo,' where he led the expansion of the user base and revenue growth.
Coinone explained that, as significant regulatory changes are expected in the industry this year, Kim was selected as the right person to drive internal and external growth through service operations that align with these changes. Kim will oversee all aspects of Coinone's corporate operations, including service management, marketing strategy, and organizational culture.
COO Kim Cheonseok stated, "I am delighted to join Coinone, a first-generation exchange that opened the door to the virtual asset market and continues to forge its own path. Drawing on my experience with systematic processes at global companies and dynamic growth at startups, I will help establish Coinone as a meaningful choice for virtual asset investors."
