Floor leader Song Eonseok wrote on Facebook that day, "I hope the new floor leadership of the ruling party will play a major role in guiding our National Assembly toward clean, honest, and upright politics."
After mentioning key economic issues such as exchange rates, inflation, and housing prices in the Seoul metropolitan area, Song stated, "Now is not the time to be intoxicated by lavish celebrations, but rather to embrace the difficult realities facing people's livelihoods." He went on to propose "sincere policy discussions between the ruling and opposition parties to stabilize the people's economy."
Song further emphasized, "Together with floor leader Han, I will do my utmost to restore a 'working, cooperative National Assembly' that moves forward through intense debate and consensus between the ruling and opposition parties, solely for the sake of the people."
