'Kang Sunwoo Nomination Donation' Kim Kyung Arrives in Incheon... Expected to Exit Airport Arrivals Hall

Kim Kyung, a member of the Seoul Metropolitan Council who is accused of delivering 100 million won to Assemblywoman Kang Sunwoo of the Democratic Party of Korea just before the 2022 local elections, returned to Korea on January 11, 2026.

After a delay of about two hours, Councilor Kim's flight landed at Incheon International Airport at 6:37 p.m. on the same day.

Kim is expected to exit the arrivals hall soon after completing immigration procedures.

The police, who have booked Kim as a suspect, plan to escort him to the police station for immediate questioning in the form of a voluntary appearance. However, since there is no legal compulsion, the investigation may not proceed if Kim refuses to cooperate.
