On January 11, S-Oil announced that Anwar Al Hizazi, CEO of S-Oil, visited the S-Oil Onsan Plant located in the Ulsan Onsan National Industrial Complex. CEO Anwar Al Hizazi encouraged employees and stakeholders and urged the safe completion of the Shahin project.

At the S-Oil Safety & Environment Center, CEO Anwar Al Hizazi emphasized, "Before carrying out any task, please check repeatedly, even for minor details, to ensure there are no blind spots in safety until you are fully confident it is safe." He stressed that creating the safest workplace in the world is the most important goal.

Later, during his visit to the Shahin project site, CEO Anwar Al Hizazi stated, "The project is now nearing its final stage, and this is the most challenging and critical period." He called on everyone in the company to work closely together, maintain focus until the start of operations, and complete the project perfectly to the end, so that it becomes a successful project that meets the expectations of both Korea and Saudi Arabia, as well as the company itself.

The Shahin project has now surpassed a 92% completion rate and is progressing smoothly, with mechanical completion targeted for June 2026.

Previously, in his 2026 New Year's address, CEO Anwar Al Hizazi identified the following as key tasks for the year: mobilizing the company's full capabilities and resources for the safe completion and stable operation of the Shahin project; establishing a safety culture and management system; strengthening fundamental competitiveness through solid operations; and driving work innovation through digital and artificial intelligence (AI) transformation.
