Dedicated Personnel Assigned for Responding to Malicious Civil Complaints and Protecting Public Officials
On January 11, Yongsan District in Seoul (District Mayor Park Hee-young) announced that, starting from January 8, it has expanded the 'Ansim Security Officer' program to six community service centers in order to create a safer work environment for public officials and provide stable administrative services.

The Ansim Security Officer is a dedicated on-site safety management staff member stationed at community service centers to prevent safety accidents, intervene in criminal acts during malicious civil complaints, and prioritize the protection of public officials. The goal is to create a safer environment for civil complaints by maintaining order at service counters and responding to crisis situations.
Last year, Yongsan District piloted the Ansim Security Officer program at four community service centers: Cheongpa-dong, Hangangno-dong, Ichon 1-dong, and Hannam-dong. During the pilot period, the program achieved results such as removing individuals who repeatedly engaged in threatening behavior, handing over cases of verbal abuse or assault to the police, and accompanying public officials who required personal protection, thereby preemptively eliminating risks at civil complaint sites.
According to a satisfaction survey conducted among employees and residents at the pilot community service centers, 94.5% of respondents stated that the continued operation of the Ansim Security Officer program is necessary, and the overall satisfaction rate was also high at 86%.
Based on these results, the district plans to further strengthen crisis response capabilities across all community service centers by assigning Ansim Security Officers to Huam-dong and Yongmun-dong as well, expanding the program to a total of six locations starting this year.
Park Hee-young, Mayor of Yongsan District, stated, "By expanding the Ansim Security Officer program, our staff will be able to work in a safer environment, which will in turn enhance the quality of administrative services provided to residents. We will continue our efforts to create an administrative environment where both employees and residents can feel secure."
