After experiencing the fisheries industry firsthand at an oyster farm in Geoje City that day, Leader Jeong met with reporters and, in response to a question about whether various local interests could be coordinated regarding the Gwangju-Jeonnam integration before the June 3 local elections, answered, "Of course, it should be done."

Regarding the establishment of a special committee within the party for the administrative integration of Gwangju and Jeonnam, Leader Jeong stated, "I think it is time to do it," adding that the committee would include all relevant standing committee secretaries from the National Assembly.

Mentioning the party's Honam Special Committee, which was launched immediately after his election last August, Leader Jeong said, "The Chungnam-Daejeon Integration Special Committee has just started operating, but since Gwangju and Jeonnam have a separate Honam Special Committee, I think the integration process can proceed even faster."

Regarding the party's announcement of a strategic nomination policy for the National Assembly by-elections, Leader Jeong said, "Originally, the party rarely holds primaries for National Assembly by-elections."
