Kiuk Dogi (age 60), a member of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Assembly, announced on January 9 that he will run for the position of Yecheon County Governor.
On this day, Assemblyman Dogi stated on Facebook, "What Yecheon needs right now is not words, but solutions. I will ask questions in the field, organize the answers, and take responsibility until the end," adding, "I will reset the direction of administration based on the lives of the residents. I will not escalate conflicts, but will resolve issues with principles and data."
Assemblyman Dogi will hold a press conference to announce his candidacy at the Gyeongbuk Provincial Assembly at 11 a.m. on January 13. He said, "At the press conference, I will personally share my vision and action plan for a new Yecheon."
Assemblyman Dogi previously served as a member of the Yecheon County Council and president of the Yecheon Junior Chamber, and is currently serving his fourth term as a member of the Gyeongbuk Provincial Assembly.
