On January 9, a so-called "Dujon Cookie Map," which allows users to check the stock of Dujonku, has been shared across online communities and social networking services (SNS).
The Dujon Cookie Map is a service that enables users to check the real-time stock status and locations of cafes selling Dubai Chewy Cookies and Dubai chocolate desserts. The map displays the stock quantity and the last update time for each store. Stock information is managed by each cafe owner, who enters the data directly.
Dujon Cookie Map Developer: "I Created It for My Girlfriend"
The Dujon Cookie Map was created as a solution for consumers who were inconvenienced by the shortage of Dujonku in various regions and the difficulty in checking stock. The developer explained via the official SNS, "I wanted to buy Dubai Chewy Cookies for my girlfriend, who loves them, but it was cumbersome to call each store or check every cafe's Instagram story to confirm availability," adding, "I thought it would be convenient to have a map where you could check stock at a glance, so I decided to develop it myself."
He continued, "Since it is still in its early stages, there aren't many participating cafes yet, but as the number of users increases, I expect more stores to join naturally. I hope this helps Dubai Chewy Cookie enthusiasts across the country avoid wasted trips and also reduces the burden on stores from stock inquiries."
The Dujon Cookie Map has also received positive feedback from netizens. One user commented, "I used to go for nothing because there was no stock, so this is great," and "Does this mean I can finally try Dujonku?"
"I'd Buy It Even for 10,000 Won": New Related Desserts Emerge Amid Dujonku Craze
Dujonku is a dessert wrapped in a marshmallow dough, filled with Middle Eastern-style thin noodles called kadaif and pistachio spread. Weighing around 50 to 60 grams, about the size of a golf ball, each piece is priced between 5,000 and 8,000 won, with some stores charging over 10,000 won. Despite the relatively high price, it has gained explosive popularity among people in their teens and twenties through word of mouth.
As Dujonku's popularity continues, a variety of Dubai desserts using kadaif, pistachio spread, and chocolate are emerging. Some independent cafes have started selling "Dubai Choco Bungeoppang," and new menu items featuring Dubai chocolate in croissants and salted bread have also appeared.
The convenience store industry is also competitively launching related products. CU has released Dubai Chewy Glutinous Rice Cake and Dubai Choco Brownie, while GS25 has introduced Dubai Chewy Choco Ball, Dubai Choco Brownie, and Dubai-Style Choco Muffin. At 7-Eleven, Kadaif Chewy Ball is available, and Emart24 has launched Choco Castella Kadaif Mochi.
