Jeollanam-do Implements Regular Personnel Reshuffle for Grade 4 and Below in Preparation for Gwangju-Jeonnam Administrative Integration Jeonnam Provincial Government Office Building View

Jeollanam-do carried out a regular personnel reshuffle for public officials at grade 4 and below, effective January 12, 2026, in order to secure momentum for the Gwangju-Jeonnam administrative integration and to advance key initiatives such as AI and energy projects.

This personnel reshuffle was implemented in response to retirement preparation training, promotions to higher ranks, and job assignments. As a result, 519 individuals-including 3 at the section chief level, 140 at the team leader level, and 376 at grade 6 and below-will either be transferred or take on new positions.

Promotion decisions were made by comprehensively considering each candidate's ranking on the promotion list, work performance, and career history. A total of 130 individuals were promoted: 1 at the section chief level, 34 at the team leader level, and 95 at grade 6 and below.

The section chief-level appointment was made to establish the new position of Director of Integration Planning, a dedicated department responsible for practical planning for the 'Gwangju-Jeonnam Administrative Integration Promotion Planning Team,' which was launched on January 5. This reflects a strong commitment to systematically and rapidly advance administrative integration.

At the team leader level, promotions were made in fields such as energy, the space industry, tourism, welfare, and population. Sixteen individuals from various technical and research series-including electrical, chemical engineering, environmental, agricultural, nursing, civil engineering, and veterinary fields-were promoted.

Transfers were determined by considering each individual's work capabilities, the opinions of relevant departments, and personal preferences and concerns submitted through the personnel communication system.

Meanwhile, with the completion of the first half 2026 personnel reshuffle, Jeollanam-do plans to complete the handover process early and actively pursue key policies for the successful realization of "AI and Energy Capital, Jeollanam-do's Grand Revival."
