Over 100 Seniors in Samho-eup and Geumjeong-myeon Participate in Safety Education
Yeongam County in South Jeolla Province held the 2026 Senior Job Program launching ceremony and conducted safety prevention education in Samho-eup and Geumjeong-myeon.
On January 7, Samho-eup held the launching ceremony for the Senior Job Program at the Samho Welfare Center, attended by about 200 seniors, and provided winter safety accident prevention education. The session focused on fall and traffic accident prevention, offering guidelines on how to prevent such accidents and how to respond in case they occur.
According to the township, the Senior Job Program will run until December, and participating seniors will carry out environmental cleanup activities along roadsides, in parks, and at senior centers.
Kim Sang-gon, head of Samho-eup, stated, "We will do our best to ensure the safety management of seniors so that they can participate in activities safely."
Previously, on January 6, Geumjeong-myeon also held a launching ceremony for the Senior Job Program and conducted safety education at the township administrative welfare center, attended by about 100 seniors.
