The process of discussing the core tasks of procurement policy will be broadcast live and made public to the general public.

The Public Procurement Service announced on January 9 that it will live broadcast the "Procurement Department Heads Meeting for the First Half of 2026," which will be held at the Government Complex Daejeon on the 12th, for about one hour starting at 9:30 a.m.

The live broadcast will be available through the official YouTube channel of the Public Procurement Service. The meeting will mainly address key issues related to public procurement policy and topics of high public interest. The live broadcast is designed to make these discussions public, enhance the credibility of policies, and generate tangible results that the public can experience.

This is the first time that the Procurement Department Heads Meeting will be broadcast live to the public. At the meeting, each department head will directly present the four main strategies and core tasks: successful implementation of public procurement reform, public procurement that drives corporate growth and advancement, trusted public procurement based on principles and fundamentals, and public procurement that supports sustainable growth. The meeting will then proceed with a discussion among the participants.

Starting with this live broadcast, the Public Procurement Service plans to independently film and broadcast future major procurement policy roundtables and on-site communication events with companies.

Park Cheol-woong, spokesperson for the Public Procurement Service, stated, "The decision to broadcast the Procurement Department Heads Meeting live was made to proactively deliver the core content of procurement policy to the public and businesses," adding, "We will continue to transparently verify the procurement policy process and gather collective intelligence during the review process to further enhance the credibility of procurement policy."
