Comprehensive Support for 59 Projects Across Six Sectors

Haenam County in South Jeolla Province is recruiting farms to participate in its Rural Guidance Pilot Project, which aims to strengthen the competitiveness of local agriculture with a total budget of 5.467 billion won. The county announced on January 9 that applications for participation in the 2026 Rural Guidance Pilot Project will be accepted until January 21.

This project consists of 59 programs across six sectors, focusing on the dissemination of new technologies and on-site demonstrations tailored to local agricultural conditions. The primary goal is to enhance agricultural productivity and establish a stable income base for farming households.

Key initiatives include support for establishing independent smart farm operations for young farmers, assistance for developing hit products utilizing Haenam agricultural products, creation of rice cultivation complexes to reduce labor, demonstration of new open-field vegetable technologies, mechanized feeding trials for Haenam Ttangkkeut Hanwoo cattle using TMR feed, and fostering base farms for the propagation and supply of sweet potato tissue culture seedlings.

Eligible applicants include farmers, producer organizations, and agricultural corporations with registered addresses in Haenam County. Those wishing to participate must prepare the required documents for each program and apply either in person at the Agricultural Technology Center or via email.

In particular, applicants for pilot projects that include national subsidies must complete the online course "Understanding and Implementation of National Subsidy Pilot Projects" offered by the Rural Human Resources Development Center of the Rural Development Administration in advance and submit a certificate of completion. Failure to complete the course before the review will result in exclusion from selection.

Detailed information on each program can be found on the official websites of Haenam County and the Agricultural Technology Center, as well as on Haenam County’s official social media channels. Submitted applications will undergo on-site evaluation and review by the Agricultural Industry-Academia Cooperation Committee before final selection.

A county official stated, "The Rural Guidance Pilot Project is an important initiative for the early adoption of new agricultural technologies in the field," and encouraged the active participation of interested farmers and organizations.
