The Rural and Fishing Village Comprehensive Support Center in Buan County, Jeonbuk, has established a "virtuous cycle learning system" where local residents share the skills and experiences they have learned directly with the community, confirming new possibilities for revitalizing village communities.
The Buan County Rural and Fishing Village Comprehensive Support Center announced on January 9 that it held the "2025 Residents' Learning Council Performance Sharing Meeting" over two days, from December 30 to 31 last year, at the Dongjin Culture and Welfare Center, Boan Cheongjagol Culture Center, and Haseo-myeon Culture Center.
This performance sharing meeting was organized to share the achievements of the education and programs operated in each completed district with the residents.
The event was conducted in a way that allowed residents who participated in the programs to present their own cases and enjoy hands-on programs led by professional field activists together with other residents.
In particular, by organically combining case presentations and hands-on experiences, the event was evaluated as an opportunity to directly confirm that the capabilities residents have built through education go beyond simple learning, leading to practice and sharing that extends into everyday life.
One resident who participated in the performance sharing meeting shared, "It was very meaningful and significant that our activities did not end with simply receiving education, but that we could directly experience what we learned and share it with our neighbors, allowing these activities to become part of our daily lives."
Center Director Ha Namseon emphasized, "This event was a meaningful occasion to confirm the valuable achievements made by residents themselves all in one place," adding, "We will continue to provide full support so that resident-led community activities can continue without interruption, with the completed district culture centers serving as hubs."
