Samcheok City Strengthens Youth Football Education by Hosting Manchester City Football School

Samcheok City in Gangwon Province will operate the "Manchester City Football School (MCFS)" winter camp.

The MCFS Samcheok program, jointly promoted by Manchester City FC and Samcheok City, aims to introduce world-class football education philosophy to local youth and to strengthen the region's football competitiveness in the long term. In September of the previous year, a customized football education program for youth was held.

This winter camp will be held at Samcheok Sports Park from February 2 to 13, offering participant-centered, customized programs divided by lower and upper grades, as well as weekday and weekend sessions.

The coaching staff will consist of two local coaches from England dispatched by Manchester City, along with interpreters and assistant coaches. The coach-to-student ratio will be maintained at 1 to 5.3, ensuring a high-quality educational experience.

An official from Samcheok City stated, "The MCFS Samcheok program is an initiative to establish world-class football education in the region," adding, "Through operations linked to the training of local coaches, we will continue to enhance the competitiveness of youth football in Samcheok."
