LG Electronics: Exploring Cooperation Based on AI and Robotics Technologies

On January 7, during a VIP booth tour at LG Electronics, the operations team focused on LG's core innovative technologies, including the 'Affectionate Intelligence'-based AI robot 'LG CLOiD' and the 'AI Cabin Mobility Platform.'

In particular, the team discussed the potential for cooperation centered on applying LG's AI and robotics technologies to the semiconductor, bio, and future vehicle industries, which are key sectors being actively fostered by the province.

Additionally, they reviewed specific collaboration models such as remote medical and healthcare services and AI-based autonomous manufacturing systems, while also seeking ways for local companies and research institutes to participate in technological cooperation.

Samsung Electronics & Hyundai Motor Company: Plans to Link with Semiconductor and Future Vehicle Clusters

On January 8, the team visited the exhibition halls of Samsung Electronics and Hyundai Motor Company in succession to discuss the potential for connecting with Gangwon's future industries.

At Samsung Electronics, they focused on AI semiconductors and intelligent device technologies, and devised cooperation plans linked to the creation of a semiconductor industry cluster in the Wonju area.

At Hyundai Motor Company, they reviewed core technologies in future mobility, such as autonomous driving and electrification, and explored the possibility of connecting with the future vehicle industry ecosystem centered on Wonju and Hoengseong.

Sim Wonseop, Director of Industry, stated, "This on-site visit to CES was an important opportunity to directly connect the province's future industries with the core technologies of global conglomerates," adding, "Moving forward, we will systematically pursue follow-up cooperation so that these exchanges can lead to joint project development and support for company partnerships, rather than ending at mere technology exchange."
