The police plan to summon Harold Rogers, CEO of Coupang, for questioning in connection with the large-scale customer personal information leak at Coupang.
On January 8, the Coupang Task Force (TF) of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced that it had recently notified CEO Rogers to appear for questioning. A police official stated, "We are currently coordinating the date for Rogers' appearance."
This summons is reportedly related to Coupang's internal investigation and forensic analysis of the incident.
Previously, Park Jeongbo, Commissioner of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, stated at a regular briefing on December 29 that Coupang did not disclose the fact that it had conducted its own forensic analysis while voluntarily submitting the suspect's laptop to the police.
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency has formed a dedicated task force of 86 members to investigate the Coupang-related case.
