[Correction] Regarding "Assemblyman Jung Jinwook Urges Jang Donghyuk to File Complaint Against Gwangju Citizen and Calls for Thorough Investigation"

On November 20, our media outlet published an article titled, "Assemblyman Jung Jinwook Urges Jang Donghyuk, Representative of the People Power Party, to File a Complaint Against Gwangju Citizen and Calls for a Thorough Investigation." The article stated, "Assemblyman Jung Jinwook (Gwangju Dongnam Gap) announced on the 20th that he strongly condemned Jang Donghyuk, the representative of the People Power Party, for filing a complaint with the police against a Gwangju citizen who protested during the visit to the May 18 National Cemetery, and for the People Power Party's call for a 'thorough investigation.'"

However, after fact-checking, we have found that Assemblyman Jung Jinwook clarified that the contents of his press release, which served as the basis for the report, were not accurate. As a result, it has been confirmed that neither Representative Jang Donghyuk filed a complaint against the Gwangju citizen, nor did the People Power Party, as a whole, call for a thorough investigation. We hereby correct the previous report.

Additionally, it has been confirmed that the People Power Party did not take any legal action, such as filing a complaint or accusation, in connection with the disturbance that occurred during the visit to the May 18 National Cemetery. This correction has been made in accordance with the mediation of the Press Arbitration Commission.
