Honam University and Jeju University RISE Project Groups Share Outstanding Achievements in Regional Innovation

Honam University RISE Project Group and Jeju University RISE Project Group shared excellent case presentations by each university and outstanding achievements in regional innovation. Provided by Honam University

The Honam University RISE Project Group announced on January 8 that it shared outstanding cases by university and excellent achievements in regional innovation with the Jeju University RISE Project Group.

The sharing session, held at Jeju University on the same day, was attended by around 60 participants, including representatives from the Honam University RISE Project Group, staff from the Jeju University RISE Project Group, professors in charge of individual projects, and department heads from participating academic departments.

The main programs included a report by Project Group Director Jeong Jaepyeong on the operation of the RISE Project and the progress of performance indicators, a presentation of outstanding regional innovation cases linked to the Jeju University RISE Project Group, and discussions on sharing and disseminating excellent achievements for each university's individual projects. Participants exchanged in-depth opinions on education, research, and industry-academia cooperation models and strategies for generating results that reflect the needs of local industries.

Focusing on outstanding regional innovation achievements identified by each university, the session facilitated the sharing of the achievement creation process and operational know-how, as well as active discussions on ways to expand these outcomes to other universities and inter-regional programs. Through this, the participants explored ways to enhance the tangible results of the RISE Project and to establish sustainable cooperation models.

Director Jeong Jaepyeong stated, "Sharing outstanding cases between universities is an important milestone that will elevate the achievements of the RISE Project to the next level. We will actively promote the dissemination of regional innovation achievements through cooperation with regional universities, including Jeju University, and strive to generate tangible results in next year's project as well."

Meanwhile, the Honam University RISE Project aims to cultivate locally committed talent through organic collaboration among the region, industry, and universities, and to contribute to community development by continuously spreading regional innovation achievements.
