Support for 50 Households from Low-Income, Homeless Families
Gimpo City in Gyeonggi Province will be accepting applications from January 12 to January 23, 2026, to recruit 50 households for the Gyeonggi Housing & Urban Development Corporation (GH) existing housing jeonse rental program.
The existing housing jeonse rental program allows eligible applicants to directly search for jeonse housing (single-family, multi-family, or multiplex homes with a dedicated area of 85 square meters or less) within the support limit. GH then signs the jeonse contract with the homeowner and subleases the property to the tenant. Through this process, tenants can enjoy stable housing in their current living area at a rent that is lower than the market rate.
Eligible applicants, as of the announcement date (December 22, 2025), must be members of a homeless household registered as residents of Gimpo City. The categories include: ▲ recipients of basic livelihood or medical benefits, ▲ single-parent families eligible for protection, ▲ households in urgent need of housing support (those among benefit recipients or the near-poor whose rent-to-income ratio is 30% or higher), ▲ persons with disabilities (whose household monthly average income is 70% or less of the previous year's urban worker average and who meet the asset requirements for permanent rental housing), and ▲ seniors (aged 65 or older among benefit recipients or the near-poor).
The support limit is set at 130 million won per household in the Seoul metropolitan area. Tenants are required to pay a rental deposit equivalent to 5% of the jeonse deposit, and for the remaining amount, they will pay an annual interest rate of 1.2% to 2.2% as monthly rent.
Applications can be submitted at the local administrative welfare center corresponding to the applicant’s registered address. For more details, applicants may contact the GH jeonse rental call center or refer to the recruitment announcement on the Gimpo City Hall website.
