Lotte Department Store Gwangju Store is launching pre-order sales for Lunar New Year gifts ahead of the holiday.
This event will run for a total of 17 days, from January 9 to January 25, offering discounts of up to approximately 55% on a wide range of items, including meat, seafood, fresh produce, and groceries.
This year’s pre-order sales for Lunar New Year gifts are focused on minimizing the burden of choice for customers amid challenging economic conditions, such as a prolonged recession and sluggish domestic demand. The store has strengthened its 'customized product proposals,' centering on the best-selling items that received a strong customer response during last year’s holiday season.
For meat gift sets, which are representative holiday gifts, the store has expanded its selection of small packages and mixed cuts.
For fresh produce gifts, the store has increased its range of practical gift sets, which are popular during the holiday season.
For seafood gift sets, the store has strengthened its offerings of small package and value sets to meet the growing demand for 'convenient seafood' products.
For alcoholic beverage gifts, the store has curated a premium lineup that emphasizes rarity and symbolic value.
For grocery gifts, the store has focused on premium ingredients that highlight the story of their origin and raw materials.
Meanwhile, Lotte Department Store Mall will hold a 'Lunar New Year Gift Set Promotion' from January 9 to February 17 for customers who find it difficult to visit the store in person.
The promotion offers a package of three coupons for up to 10% off, as well as food-specific discounts of up to 50,000 won. In addition, members of the Gift Club can earn up to 8% in L.Point rewards.
The store presents a wide variety of Lunar New Year gift options, ranging from food to beauty brands such as Sulwhasoo, Estee Lauder, and Clarins, as well as lifestyle brands like The Conran Shop and Sisi Hoshi.
Lee Jaemo, Head of the Food Team at the Gwangju Store, said, "We have carefully prepared the Lunar New Year gift sets with the hope that the Year of the Blue Horse will be a vibrant one," adding, "The pre-order event will be a rational choice for customers who wish to prepare their holiday gifts in advance."
