Cheongdo County's Eco-Friendly Certified Rice Achieves First Delivery to iCOOP Cooperative

The First Achievement of Agricultural Transformation
Entire Quantity Supplied Under Contract at a Price 12% Higher Than Market Value

The "Agricultural Transformation" policy being promoted by Cheongdo County in North Gyeongsang Province (Governor Kim Hasu) is yielding tangible results.

The county announced on January 7 that eco-friendly certified rice produced in Gakbuk-myeon has begun full-scale supply to iCOOP Consumer Cooperative.

This delivery is particularly significant as it marks the first time an agricultural product from Cheongdo County has been supplied to iCOOP Consumer Cooperative.

The eco-friendly certified rice was produced in an eco-friendly rice cultivation complex covering 5 hectares in Gakbuk-myeon. All 32 tons produced were supplied to iCOOP Consumer Cooperative, with the price set approximately 12% higher than the first-grade public reserve rice, fully recognizing the value of eco-friendly agricultural products and resulting in a complete contract for the entire quantity.

The eco-friendly rice cultivation complex is operated and managed by GiveYou Agricultural Corporation, which has focused on producing high-quality rice that consumers can trust, based on organic farming methods.

In particular, it is meaningful that a stable sales channel was secured from production to distribution in line with Cheongdo County's ongoing agricultural transformation policy.

iCOOP Consumer Cooperative is the largest consumer cooperative in Korea, with a membership base that emphasizes the consumption of safe and ethical agricultural products.

Through this delivery, the excellence of Cheongdo County's eco-friendly rice is expected to become known to consumers nationwide.

Kim Hasu, Governor of Cheongdo County, stated, "The supply of eco-friendly certified rice to iCOOP marks an important starting point for our county's agricultural products to be distributed stably and at fair value. We will continue to expand the production of eco-friendly and functional agricultural products, and do our utmost to increase farm income and establish a sustainable agricultural foundation by cooperating with reliable distribution networks."
