Gumi City's Tailored Support Drives Global Market Expansion

On January 8, Gumi City announced that it had participated in CES 2026, the world's largest home appliance and IT exhibition held in Las Vegas, USA, and carried out support activities to help promising local companies enter the global market.

At this year's CES 2026, promising companies selected through the "Global Market Entry Support Program" jointly run by Gumi City and the Gumi Electronics & Information Technology Research Institute showcased innovative technologies and products in future-oriented industries such as artificial intelligence (AI), robotics, smart manufacturing, healthcare, and mobility on the global stage.

A total of eight companies participated: Allcom, Epowertrain Korea, FSN Medical Korea, Xbryk, RFON, Nest, Golden Crow, and A4Lab. Each of these companies leveraged their unique technological expertise to make inroads into the global market.

In particular, Allcom, led by CEO Jang Seunghyuk, exhibited a portable temperature-control tumbler capable of adjusting temperatures from 1 to 100 degrees Celsius and received the "CES 2026 Innovation Award."

The participating companies, backed by Gumi City's systematic support, actively engaged in business meetings with global buyers and worked to pioneer new overseas market opportunities.

Companies that presented advanced technologies such as drone propulsion motors, anti-drone systems, and smart wearable patches attracted significant attention at the event for their technological sophistication and market applicability, confirming not only their exhibition value but also the potential for practical business partnerships.

To support participation in CES 2026, Gumi City provided a customized step-by-step program including technology and marketability analysis for each company, the production of global marketing materials, and coordination of on-site buyer meetings, enabling participating companies to achieve tangible results.

The city also partially supported airfare and local accommodation expenses for the participating companies, helping to reduce their financial burden and create an environment where they could focus on maximizing marketing effectiveness.

Kim Jangho, Mayor of Gumi, stated, "This participation in CES 2026 demonstrates that Gumi's technology companies are capable of competing on the world stage," adding, "We will continue to provide policy support at the city level so that Gumi can emerge as a leading global industrial city in AI, robotics, and advanced manufacturing."
