Geumsan County has decided to extend the duration of its urban regeneration project in the Geumsan-eup area from the original end date of 2025 to 2026.

The projects include the Jungdo-Haok General Neighborhood Urban Regeneration Project (around 492-1 Jungdo-ri), the Geumsan Happiness Welfare and Culture Center Construction Project (around 393-3 Haok-ri), and the Geumsan Happiness Dream Center Construction Project (around 232-3 Sang-ri).

The county plans to enhance the quality of the projects by securing additional administrative procedures and construction time, enabling design modifications, advancing related projects, and strengthening Barrier-Free (BF) certification, among other improvements.

To this end, the county announced a revision to the Urban Regeneration Revitalization Plan at the end of last year.

Park Beomin, Mayor of Geumsan County, said, "I sincerely thank all the residents who have actively participated in the project," and added, "We will do our utmost to ensure that the regional regeneration proceeds smoothly and stably."
