More than 200 people attended the event, including Mayor Bang Sehwan, Kim Daesoon, Second Vice Governor for Administrative Affairs of Gyeonggi Province, members of the National Assembly representing the local constituency, provincial and city council members, heads of major institutions and organizations, and business leaders. They exchanged New Year's greetings and reaffirmed their commitment to cooperation for the development of the local economy.
Lee Sungha, Chairman of the Gwangju Hanam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stated in his New Year's address, "Based on close cooperation with Gwangju City, we will strive to improve the business environment and ease regulations, and will actively support the creation of stable management conditions for local companies."
In response, Mayor Bang expressed his gratitude in his congratulatory remarks, saying, "I deeply appreciate all the businesspeople who have safeguarded the local economy despite challenging internal and external economic conditions." He added, "As this is the year marking the end of the 8th popularly elected term, we will do our utmost to ensure that citizens can truly experience the completion of a sustainable, self-sufficient city of 500,000 people by improving the residential environment, establishing an industrial tourism belt, and expanding leisure spaces."

Meanwhile, the city plans to continue strengthening its corporate support policies so that businesspeople can experience policy changes directly in the field.
