Uiseong to Redesign 2026 Cultural Programming
Based on Comprehensive Performance Satisfaction Data
Uiseong County is preparing to open the next chapter as a 'Performance City.' The county announced that it will conduct a cultural performance satisfaction survey from January 12 to 16, targeting performances held throughout 2025. The purpose is to precisely analyze the audience experience and realign the direction of future planning.

This survey will be conducted via SMS, targeting ticket holders who attended performances in 2025.
In addition to overall satisfaction with the performances, the survey will include questions on genre preferences, viewing environment, and expectations for future programming-focusing not just on collecting opinions, but on shaping the planning process itself.
In 2025, Uiseong County expanded cultural accessibility by offering a multidimensional lineup spanning film, theater, Korean traditional music, and popular music.
By consecutively presenting performances that balance artistic value and popular appeal-such as the film Cinema Paradiso, the play Liar Part 1, Jang Saik’s music performance 'Giving Flowers to Myself,' Yoo Hojin’s 'The Image Nation,' and Sumi Jo’s Christmas concert-the county has been recognized for broadening the cultural base in the region.
Kim Jusu, Governor of Uiseong County, stated, "This survey is a key process for directly hearing the voices of our citizens," adding, "Based on the results, we will enhance the quality of our planning so that performances reflecting local demand can be held throughout 2026."
Uiseong County plans to analyze the survey results and apply data-driven decision-making to all aspects of planning, including genre selection, casting, audience flow, and convenience improvements. Moving beyond being a city that simply hosts performances, Uiseong is preparing for its next stage as a city where performances become a part of everyday life.
