Inje County, Gangwon Province, will comprehensively implement support projects related to apartment complexes in 2026 to improve the residential environment of aging multi-family housing and prevent safety accidents.
The county plans to simultaneously carry out two projects: the "Apartment Complex Support Project" and the "Small-Scale Apartment Complex Safety Inspection Project." These initiatives aim to ease the maintenance burden of apartment complexes and enhance the safety of small-scale complexes that fall into management blind spots.
The "Apartment Complex Support Project" provides partial financial support for the maintenance of aging apartment complexes. A total project budget of 150 million won will be allocated for implementation from January to December 2026.
The support targets 88 apartment complexes comprising 2,757 households within the county. The support details will differ depending on whether the complex is less than or more than 10 years old since its occupancy permit was granted.
Apartment complexes less than 10 years old since occupancy approval are eligible for support with online voting system service fees. Complexes older than 10 years may apply for facility maintenance projects, such as maintenance of children's playgrounds and installation and maintenance of security information and communication facilities.
The amount of support varies depending on the number of households in each complex and is limited to 70% of the total project cost per unit project, up to 50 million won per complex per year, and up to 30 million won per unit project.
Eligible complexes will be selected through a comprehensive evaluation by the Inje County Apartment Complex Support Review Committee, considering factors such as the degree of aging, necessity, and urgency. On average, about 8 to 9 apartment complexes are selected each year.
In addition, the county will implement the "Small-Scale Apartment Complex Safety Inspection" project for small-scale complexes that either lack a management entity or are not legally required to undergo safety inspections.
This project targets a total of 76 small-scale apartment complexes, comprising 1,940 households, that are more than 10 years old since occupancy approval. The county will commission a specialized safety inspection agency to conduct comprehensive safety checks on buildings and auxiliary facilities.
The inspection costs will be fully covered by the county within the total project budget of 40 million won.
From 2023 to 2025, the county has conducted safety inspections for a total of 31 small-scale apartment complexes. In 2026, eligible complexes will be selected based on the number of years since completion and on-site conditions.
Maintenance and reinforcement measures based on the inspection results will be carried out by the residents of the respective apartment complexes.
Applications for all 2026 apartment complex support projects must be submitted by the residents' representative council. Applications for the "Apartment Complex Support Project" will be accepted from January 13 to February 27,
and applications for the "Small-Scale Apartment Complex Safety Inspection" will be accepted from January 13 to February 13. Application forms must be submitted in person to the Housing Team of the Urban Development Division at Inje County Office.
