Hirata Group of Japan to Sponsor Sisters Go Ji-woo and Go Ji-won

Sisters Go Ji-woo and Go Ji-won, who compete on the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour, will receive sponsorship from Hirata Group, a Japanese manufacturer of home appliances and automotive parts.

Wow Management Group, the agency representing both athletes, announced on January 8 that "Hirata Group has decided to sponsor the two players, who last year became the first sisters to win on the KLPGA Tour in the same season." This year, the sisters will wear the Hirata Group logo on the left side of their caps as they participate in domestic and international tournaments.

Go Ji-woo, known as the "Birdie Bomber," has achieved three career victories on the KLPGA Tour. In June of last year, she won the McCall Mona Yongpyong Open with a score of 23-under-par 193, tying the tour's 54-hole lowest score record. Her younger sister, Go Ji-won, celebrated her first regular tour victory at the Jeju Samdasoo Masters in August 2025, and then claimed her second win at the S-OIL Championship in November.

Go Ji-woo shared her thoughts, saying, "It is an honor to partner with a global company like Hirata Group. I will do my best to deliver strong performances in return for their trust and support." Go Ji-won added, "I am delighted to be associated with Hirata Group, which has supported outstanding Korean players, and this has become a great motivation for me to perform even better." Hirata Group currently sponsors Kwon Ki-taek, An Shin-ae, and Park Hyun-kyung.
