Kia announced on January 8 that Autoland Hwaseong has received the Gold rating in the 'Zero Waste to Landfill' certification from UL Solutions, a global safety science company.
UL's Zero Waste to Landfill (ZWTL) certification is a global indicator used to evaluate a company's resource circulation efforts. Based on the waste recycling rate, there are three levels: Platinum (99.5%-100%), Gold (95%-less than 99.5%), and Silver (90%-less than 95%).
In December of last year, Autoland Gwangju achieved the Platinum rating for the second consecutive year, and now, for the first time, Autoland Hwaseong has received the Gold rating.
Kia stated, "This recognition reflects our efforts to recycle waste generated during the production process and to establish a resource-efficient production system," adding, "We will continue to practice environmentally friendly management and strengthen our resource circulation system."
