Samsung Electronics, an official partner of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), unveiled on January 8 the roster of its promotional ambassadors, 'Team Samsung Galaxy,' for the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics and Paralympics, along with the campaign message, "An Open Mind Always Wins."

Since the Nagano Olympics in 1998, Samsung Electronics has served as an official partner of the Olympic and Paralympic Games for nearly 30 years, supporting athletes and fans to connect and uniting the world as one through innovative technology.
For the upcoming 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics and Paralympics, Samsung Electronics is operating Team Samsung Galaxy as part of its partnership activities. Team Samsung Galaxy consists of 68 athletes from 17 countries, representing a variety of sports. This is the largest winter Olympic delegation in the team's history.
The Team Samsung Galaxy athletes will share the campaign message, "An Open Mind Always Wins," focusing on three core values-open-mindedness, new perspectives, and self-expression-from the athletes' viewpoints, delivering these values to fans around the world.
Kim Seungyeon, Executive Director of Samsung Electronics' MX Division, stated, "Samsung Electronics has been connecting athletes, fans, and every moment of the Games more vividly through technology. Together with Team Samsung Galaxy, we will introduce a range of programs to help athletes and fans unlock limitless possibilities." The team is primarily composed of athletes in their teens and twenties, who are the future stars of sports such as bobsleigh, short track, and snowboarding.

There are five athletes representing South Korea: Kim Gilli (short track), Lim Jong-eon (short track), Choi Gaon (snowboard), Choi Minjeong (short track), and Hwang Daeheon (short track). Global winter sports stars such as Alex Hall (United States, skiing), Arthur Bauchet (France, para alpine skiing), Annika Morgan (Germany, snowboard), and Alysa Liu (United States, figure skating) have also joined Team Samsung Galaxy.
Short track skater Choi Minjeong commented, "I am delighted to rejoin Team Samsung Galaxy after the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. Team Samsung Galaxy always inspires people to unlock greater possibilities through sports. At the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics, I look forward to spreading positive energy together with Team Samsung Galaxy."
Kim Gilli, who is emerging as a short track ace, said, "It is an honor to participate in the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics as a member of Team Samsung Galaxy alongside world-class athletes. I will do my best to inspire fans around the globe."
Choi Gaon, who has consecutively won the FIS Snowboard World Cup, stated, "It is an honor to compete in my first Winter Olympics as a national team member and as the youngest member of Team Samsung Galaxy. I will do my best to showcase the skills I have honed so far and deliver a great performance."
