Mayor Park Dongsik Strengthens Field-Oriented Administration with Direct Visits to Local Companies in Sacheon

Visit to Doowon Heavy Industries,
the First Tenant of the Sacheon Aerospace National Industrial Complex

Park Dongsik, Mayor of Sacheon, Gyeongsangnam-do, has recognized regional economic growth as his top priority and personally visited local companies to strengthen field-oriented administration.

According to Sacheon City on January 7, Mayor Park visited Doowon Heavy Industries, the first tenant company in the Sacheon Aerospace National Industrial Complex, on January 6 to inspect the company’s operations and listen to challenges faced on-site.

This visit was part of Mayor Park’s commitment to his administrative philosophy, “The answer to our problems lies in the field,” demonstrating once again his determination to find solutions at the industrial sites.

Doowon Heavy Industries has invested a total of 38.3 billion won to build seven factory buildings with a total floor area of 15,253 square meters on a 20,281-square-meter site. The company manufactures automotive air conditioning compressors and exports them to the United States and other overseas markets. Through stable investment and job creation, Doowon Heavy Industries is making a significant contribution to revitalizing the local economy.

The city expects that this on-site visit will actively support the full-scale operation of the Aerospace National Industrial Complex and the stable settlement of its first tenant company, and that the successful case of Doowon Heavy Industries will serve as evidence of the complex’s reliability and investment stability to external stakeholders.

This is also expected to play an important role in encouraging positive investment decisions by potential investors in the future.
