This program is a lecture series planned in line with the direction of the 2026 Educational Development Zone initiative. It is designed to help children easily and interestingly understand the meaning and value of art through representative works in the fields of fine art and architecture. The lectures are tailored to the children's level, aiming to nurture both their art appreciation skills and critical thinking abilities.
The program features author Lee Yuri and Professor Lee Jaein from the College of Architecture at Myongji University as instructors, providing in-depth lectures that span both art and architecture. Key topics include why masterpieces featured in textbooks are famous, experiencing art through works and videos in museums and galleries, and understanding the characteristics and significance of traditional Korean architecture.
A library official stated, "We hope that through this program, children will go beyond simply viewing paintings and architecture, and instead, think for themselves about why they became famous and broaden their perspectives on the world through art."
