Strengthening Practical Experience and Employment Skills Through County Administration Program
Gijang County (Governor Jung Jongbok) announced on January 7 that it will operate the "2026 Winter Gijang County Youth Administrative Experience Program" for local young people.
The "Gijang County Youth Administrative Experience Program" is held every year during both the winter and summer seasons. It offers unemployed youth, including university students residing in Gijang County, the opportunity to experience administrative work firsthand. The program has received a highly positive response from young people and university students so far.
This winter, 75 young participants will be selected for the administrative experience program. From January to February, they will be assigned to work at the Gijang County Office, township and town administrative welfare centers, libraries, and the Gijang County Urban Management Corporation.
The participating youth will assist with administrative tasks and serve as guides for civil service inquiries. In addition, through visits to key project sites, they will gain a deeper understanding of the overall county administration. The program is expected to help participants not only gain practical administrative experience but also strengthen the skills needed for future employment.
Jung Jongbok, Governor of Gijang County, stated, "Through participation in the youth administrative experience program, I hope young people will be able to directly experience the real voices of the administrative field and have the opportunity to demonstrate their individual talents and abilities." He added, "We will further enhance the program to ensure it provides a meaningful experience for young people preparing to enter society in earnest."
