[New Year's Address] NCSoft Co-CEOs Kim Taekjin and Park Byungmoo: "A New Leap Forward Through Growth and Innovation"

Expanding Legacy IPs... Spin-Offs and External Collaborations
"Strengthening Shooting, Subculture, and Mobile Casual"

NCSoft has announced its ambition to drive new changes this year through growth and innovation.

Kim Taekjin and Park Byungmoo, Co-CEOs of NCSoft, shared this message in their New Year’s address to employees on January 7.

Kim Taekjin and Park Byungmoo described the November 2025 launch of 'Aion 2' as "a project that brought us a very important and new momentum for change," adding, "Through continuous efforts to stabilize the service and sincere communication with users, we were able to regain users' trust and reaffirmed that NCSoft’s core intellectual property (IP) still possesses competitiveness and potential."

They went on to say, "This year is the time to develop NCSoft in a positive, challenging, and future-oriented direction," identifying growth and innovation as the core keywords. They explained that growth means further strengthening and expanding current competitiveness to increase corporate value, while innovation means rethinking everything from the ground up to achieve a completely new leap forward.

From the perspective of growth, the two CEOs emphasized, "We will continue to expand the potential of our legacy IPs that have built NCSoft, and connect the assets we have accumulated to future growth through spin-off games and external collaborations. We will also focus our capabilities on developing new core IP."

Regarding the shooting and subculture genres, they stated, "We are building new competitiveness by collaborating with external studios that have differentiated capabilities," and added, "Based on our accumulated know-how, we will continue to invest in publishing and expand clusters in various genres such as shooting and action role-playing games (RPGs)."

They also plan to establish the newly created Mobile Casual Center as a new growth engine, and to steadily advance by securing talent, strengthening data analysis capabilities, and pursuing additional mergers and acquisitions (M&A).

Furthermore, the management stated, "Now is the time to establish a mindset of innovation," and said, "We want every employee to reconsider all aspects of their work from the ground up and foster a culture that pursues the best choices and decisions." They called for a fundamental review of work and processes to drive change.

They added, "The management will provide clear direction and minimize uncertainty throughout the upcoming changes, take full responsibility for necessary decisions, and listen to your voices as we coordinate together during this process."
