Las Vegas 'CES 2026'... Busan City to Participate with Largest-Ever Delegation

Operation of Integrated Busan Pavilion, Universities Target Global Markets
13 Companies Win 'CES Innovation Award' and 'Best of Innovation Award'

Busan Metropolitan City (Mayor Park Hyungjoon) will participate in 'CES 2026,' the world's largest consumer electronics and information technology (IT) exhibition, with its largest-ever delegation this year.

On January 7, Busan City announced that it would operate a larger 'Integrated Busan Pavilion' than last year, aiming to establish itself as a global innovation hub city.

The city will set up a total of 30 exhibition booths at 'CES 2026,' held in Las Vegas, United States, and will collaborate with six local universities-Kyungsung University, Pukyong National University, Dong-A University, Dong-Eui University, Korea Maritime & Ocean University, and Pusan National University-to showcase the largest-ever lineup of innovative companies. CES is the world's largest IT and electronics exhibition, hosted by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) in the United States.

The 'Integrated Busan Pavilion' will operate within the global pavilion from its opening ceremony on January 6 through January 9. The city has formed the 'TEAM BUSAN 2nd Cohort' together with its affiliated organizations, including Busan Economic Promotion Agency, Busan IT Industry Promotion Agency, Busan Technopark, Busan Technology Startup Investment Foundation, Busan Industry-Academia Convergence Institute, and Busan Rise Innovation Institute. The focus will be on introducing next-generation flagship products from 28 innovative companies and supporting their entry into global markets.

Participating companies will take part in a variety of business programs, including investment promotion sessions (IR) and one-on-one business meetings with global investors and buyers, in an effort to pioneer overseas markets.

Companies participating in the Integrated Busan Pavilion include Korea LFP, CIT, Resole, iKuka, New Horizon, Dataflare, Two Hands Interactive, Sign Lab, JJ&Companies, Sharpen Goat, Slash B Slash, Double O, Tiger AI, Total Soft Bank, KOAI, Marina Chain, Ilju GNS, Erooty, O2 Lab (Dong-Eui University), Vision Tech (Kyungsung University), Busan Digital Asset Exchange (Pukyong National University), Marine Drone Technology (Korea Maritime & Ocean University), Eunice (Dong-A University), Christine Company (Dong-Eui University), GenLife (Pusan National University), Heart Saver (Pukyong National University), NF (Dong-A University), and iBiz (Kyungsung University).

At this year's CES, local universities and companies jointly exhibited specialized technologies and shared collaborative research achievements, demonstrating the results of the integrated industry-academia-regional model on site. Fourteen student supporters from Dong-A University, dispatched to the event, were matched with participating companies, where they studied technologies and products in advance and provided business interpretation and consultation support on site, assisting in contract negotiations.

The student representative of Dong-A University supporters said, "I am excited to directly promote the technological capabilities of Busan companies at CES 2026. I hope that outstanding local companies will grow in the global market, creating an environment where young people can pursue their dreams in Busan."

At CES 2026, Busan City also achieved a record by having 13 Busan-based companies win the 'CES Innovation Award' and 'Best of Innovation Award.' The total of 13 innovation awards, including two Best of Innovation Awards, far surpasses the seven awards received at CES 2025, proving the technological competitiveness of Busan companies.

Mayor Park Hyungjoon stated, "Following the first independent pavilion at CES 2025, this year's record-breaking achievements demonstrate that Busan is emerging as a global hub city. The experience and network accumulated by TEAM BUSAN will be an important asset for local companies seeking to enter the global market."

He added, "We will further strengthen industry-academia-regional cooperation based on artificial intelligence and advanced industries to actively support Busan's innovative companies in securing global competitiveness."
