Gwangju Shinsegae Draws Attention with 'Cloud Dancer' Color of the Year Products

Gwangju Shinsegae Co., Ltd. is drawing attention by showcasing a wide range of products featuring 'Cloud Dancer,' the color selected as the Color of the Year for 2026.

Pantone, the global color institute, has chosen 'Cloud Dancer' as this year's color-a shade that evokes images of clouds, snow, or the crispness of a white shirt or duvet.

Since 1999, Pantone has selected a Color of the Year annually, and describes Cloud Dancer as "a refined white that symbolizes a calm influence in a society rediscovering the value of tranquil contemplation."

While it may be mistaken for a simple white, its defining feature is the sense of comfort it provides, filled with serenity.

Notably, unlike previous years when Pantone selected highly saturated colors such as last year's 'Moka Mousse,' this is the first time a pure white has been chosen. Cloud Dancer represents a break from the fast-paced and stimulating, highlighting the importance of quiet reflection, recovery, and creative space. It symbolizes the color of a blank canvas, inviting individuals to tell their own stories.

On the 4th floor of the Gwangju Shinsegae main building, the 'Maison Kitsune' store is presenting various items in the Cloud Dancer color. The Cloud Dancer knit cardigan, accented with a baby fox embroidered patch, features a slim-fit silhouette, engraved buttons, and a clean neckline.

Additionally, Maison Kitsune is holding an end-of-season sale with discounts ranging from 1/2 up to 30%, offering customers the opportunity to purchase Cloud Dancer-colored designs at reasonable prices.

Alongside this, 'Isabel Marant Etoile,' a leading French contemporary brand, is also offering a variety of garments in this year's color, such as the 'Cream High Neck Cotton Half Coat' and the 'Cream Boucl? Tweed Wool Blend Short Coat.'
