Playconomy Launches Children's Economics Classes at Emart and Homeplus

On January 7, Playconomy announced that it will offer "Children's Economics Learned Through Play" classes for preschool and elementary students at Emart and Homeplus stores nationwide during the upcoming spring semester.

Starting in March, Playconomy classes will be held at seven Emart branches-including Wirye, Hanam, Gangneung, and Chuncheon-and seven Homeplus branches, such as Suwon, Bundang, and Dongtan.

In particular, at Emart's Uijeongbu, Ilsan, and Chuncheon branches, Playconomy CEO Ji Suhee will personally deliver lectures for parents under the theme "Starting Our Children's Economic Education Through Play."

The Playconomy play-based economics program, created by a former economic journalist and mother for her child, is currently patent-pending under the title "Children's Economic and Financial Education Provision Method and System."

The actual classes involve reading economic fairy tales produced by Playconomy and engaging in related play activities, allowing children to naturally acquire economic concepts.

Playconomy's flagship programs include "The Polar Bear Who Dislikes the Cold" (wise spending and money management), "Choco Fondant Donut Shop" (entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial spirit), "What Happened in the Carrot Field" (business and investment), and "Music Box Shop" (stock market and future industries).

The company has already established itself as a proven content provider, with approximately 2,000 children and parents having participated in its classes through John Lee's Wealth School, The Hyundai Cultural Center, I-Park Cultural Center, and the "Children's Happiness Festival" hosted by Chosun Ilbo.

Meanwhile, Playconomy also publishes a children's economic newspaper called "Playconomy Times." Playconomy Times is an elementary-level economics class where teachers conduct live lessons each week using the economic newspaper.

Ji Suhee, CEO of Playconomy, said, "I am delighted to share how easy and fun economics can be with more children," adding, "We will continue to expand Playconomy classes so that we can meet children all over the country."
