Hankook Tire to Host First "Korea"-Titled Race of Formula E Season 12

Title Sponsor Race to Be Held in Mexico City on the 10th
Showcasing Technological Prowess with "iON Race"

Hankook Tire & Technology announced on January 7 that the second round of Season 12 of the world's premier electric vehicle racing competition, the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship (Formula E), in which it serves as the exclusive supplier of electric vehicle racing tires and official partner, will be held on the 10th (local time) as the "2026 Korea Mexico City E-Prix."

This will be the first "Korea"-titled sponsored race of Season 12. Starting with Mexico City, Hankook Tire plans to further elevate the "Korea" brand through the "2026 Korea Berlin E-Prix" in May and the "2026 Korea London E-Prix" in August.

The "Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez" circuit, where the Mexico City race will take place, is a challenging track with a total length of 2.63 km, located at an altitude of about 2,250 meters. The course features long, fast straight sections and an infield segment that passes through the massive "Korea"-branded "Foro Sol" stadium. To master the repeated high-speed driving and deceleration zones, tire grip, heat resistance, and driving stability are essential.

For this race, Hankook Tire will once again support the successful operation of the event with its "iON Race" tire. The "iON Race" is the optimal racing tire for the "GEN3 Evo," reaching a top speed of 322 km/h and accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 1.86 seconds. It features a composite material that combines advanced engineering fibers and natural rubber, providing stable grip and precise steering response even during high-speed cornering and repeated load conditions.
