[Today's New Product] Ottogi Launches 'Dietary Fiber Plus Brown Rice and Barley Rice'

Ottogi announced on January 7 that it has launched two new instant rice products rich in dietary fiber: "Dietary Fiber Plus Brown Rice" and "Dietary Fiber Plus Barley Rice."

As interest in health management continues to rise, there is growing demand for products that reduce meal size and carbohydrate intake while providing a convenient and healthy meal option. Reflecting these consumer needs, Ottogi has introduced two new high-dietary-fiber instant rice products, made primarily with brown rice and barley-grains that are highly preferred by consumers.

"Dietary Fiber Plus Brown Rice" and "Dietary Fiber Plus Barley Rice" each contain 6g of dietary fiber per serving (130g), which is about three times higher than the dietary fiber content of the existing Ottogi instant rice (210g). This amount fulfills approximately 24% of the daily dietary fiber intake recommended by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety and can be highly beneficial for modern consumers who often lack sufficient fiber in their diets. The products also include indigestible maltodextrin, which helps suppress post-meal blood sugar spikes, improve blood triglyceride levels, and promote regular bowel movements. With a smaller portion size, consumers can enjoy a light yet healthy meal. Additionally, the optimal blend of domestically produced brown rice and glutinous barley preserves both the unique flavor and texture characteristic of mixed grain rice.
