Kim Jin-tae, Governor of Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province, visited the Future Agriculture Education Center at the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Agricultural Technology Institute in Sinbuk-eup, Chuncheon, on January 6, where he reviewed the current status of educational operations and examined strategies for nurturing talent to lead the future of agriculture.

The Future Agriculture Education Center provides field-oriented agricultural education to respond to the evolving agricultural environment. Its programs include future agriculture and farming technology education, agricultural machinery safety and operation training, and rural development policy education.


After receiving a briefing on the status of educational operations, Governor Kim personally inspected the educational facilities and practice environments, including the ICT classroom and the agricultural machinery training center. On this occasion, he emphasized the importance of systematic training to prevent agricultural machinery accidents and to strengthen on-site response capabilities, calling for further enhancement of the quality of education.


Governor Kim stated, "The future of agriculture begins with investment in people," and expressed his hope that the Future Agriculture Education Center will become a hub for cultivating talent to enhance the competitiveness of Gangwon's agriculture."


Meanwhile, the Future Agriculture Education Center plans to implement educational programs for 1,890 participants across 61 courses in six areas this year. The center aims to systematically strengthen the expertise and on-site response capabilities of local farmers, with a particular focus on future agriculture competency and agricultural machinery safety training.
