Large A380 and A350 Aircraft to Be Deployed Starting in February
Asiana Airlines is expanding its mileage-exclusive flights to the Oceania routes, following the United States, Europe, and Southeast Asia.
On January 6, Asiana Airlines announced that, for the first time, it will operate mileage-exclusive flights on the London, Prague, and Sydney routes. Reservations for these flights are available starting at 9 a.m. on the same day, and all remaining seats can be purchased using mileage.
The mileage-exclusive flights will operate a total of 18 flights: six flights between Incheon and London from February 20 to March 24, six flights between Incheon and Prague from February 22 to March 17, and six flights between Incheon and Sydney from March 5 to March 25. Depending on seat availability, tickets may also be purchased for cash.
For Europe and Oceania mileage tickets, one-way economy class requires 35,000 miles, and business Smartium class requires 62,500 miles. However, for certain flights, peak season rates apply, resulting in a 50% additional deduction compared to off-peak periods.
Asiana Airlines plans to deploy large aircraft, including the 495-seat A380 and the 311-seat A350, for the mileage-exclusive flights, significantly expanding opportunities for customers to use their mileage.
An Asiana Airlines representative stated, "We are operating mileage-exclusive flights on new routes to increase customer satisfaction and provide more options for using mileage," adding, "We will continue to review the operation of mileage-exclusive flights on various routes."
