Outstanding Achievement with 59 Elementary and Secondary Teachers Receiving Awards
The Daejeon Office of Education has demonstrated its excellence by ranking first among metropolitan and special cities in the 2025 National Teaching Innovation Case Study Competition.
In particular, a total of 59 elementary and secondary school teachers (including collaborative research teachers) received awards, achieving outstanding results and continuing to secure top-tier national performance every year.
The Teaching Innovation Case Study Competition is designed to identify teaching and learning models suitable for future-oriented educational environments and to share and disseminate exemplary teaching practices.
The Daejeon Office of Education submitted 60 elementary and 31 secondary entries, which had passed the first round of research report evaluations and the second round of class evaluations and interviews in its own competition, to the national competition. As a result, 24 entries received first-class awards, 21 received second-class awards, and 12 received third-class awards, achieving second place nationwide and first place among metropolitan and special cities in terms of the total number of awardees.
Teachers who received awards in this competition will be presented with the Minister of Education Award and awarded research performance evaluation points. Outstanding awardees will also be given the opportunity to explore exemplary educational practices abroad.
The Daejeon Office of Education has consistently achieved top-tier results in the national Teaching Innovation Case Study Competition every year. At the awards ceremony scheduled for January 7, two outstanding awardees from Daejeon (one elementary and one secondary teacher) will present their teaching innovation cases to awardees from across the country.
This achievement is particularly meaningful as it is the result of voluntary research and innovation by schools, combined with the continuous and systematic support provided by the Daejeon Office of Education.
Superintendent Seol Dongho stated, "The dedicated efforts and research of our teachers have led to this significant national achievement," adding, "We will continue to do our utmost to enhance the teaching expertise of Daejeon’s educators."
