Enhanced Convenience for Parcel Drop-off and Payment
CJ Logistics is strengthening its personal parcel delivery services based on its seven-day-a-week delivery service, "Maeilone."
On January 6, CJ Logistics announced that it has revamped its "O-NE Application" to make it more convenient for individual customers to send parcels, adding features such as credit card and easy payment options.
Previously, the app focused on delivery tracking for recipients, but with this update, features centered on senders have been enhanced. These include courier visit requests, where a driver comes directly to the sender's doorstep, and guidance on locating and reserving nearby unmanned lockers. Delivery tracking has also been improved for more intuitive, at-a-glance access.
Payment for delivery fees has also become more convenient. Easy payment options using credit cards and services such as Naver Pay, Kakao Pay, and Toss Pay have been added not only to the app but also to the website, resolving the inconvenience of having to pay drivers in cash or via bank transfer.
CJ Logistics explained that as growth in the e-commerce market-which accounts for most parcel deliveries-has slowed, the personal parcel market is emerging as a new growth driver. With peer-to-peer transactions becoming more common, the volume of personal parcel deliveries is increasing. In addition, as parcel delivery is being proposed as an alternative to revitalize traditional markets, the personal parcel market is expected to continue growing.
In response, CJ Logistics launched the "Immediate Purchase" delivery service for Danggeun Market and secondhand transaction users in September last year, and recently introduced a service in partnership with the National Association of Merchants to deliver traditional market products directly to homes, actively targeting the personal parcel market.
Yoon Jaeseung, Head of the O-NE Division at CJ Logistics, stated, "We have improved our services so that individual customers can use parcel delivery more conveniently based on our differentiated delivery competitiveness," adding, "We will continue to advance our services so that customers across the country can experience and benefit from a convenient lifestyle logistics infrastructure."
