Tving Becomes an All-in-One Platform with MBC, Now Offering News from All Three Broadcasters and the High Kick Series

Tving has significantly boosted its platform competitiveness by bringing in a large volume of MBC content. By expanding its lineup to include news, current affairs, variety shows, and dramas, the company anticipates a 'lock-in effect' that will keep users within its platform.

On January 5, Tving announced the official launch of the 'MBC News & Current Affairs' special section. Notably, this completes its news coverage offerings. Users can now watch MBC's flagship programs, 'News Desk' and 'News Today,' live in real time, while major current affairs shows such as 'PD Notebook,' 'Straight,' and '100-Minute Debate' are available as VOD 24 hours a day. With this, Tving has now secured news live streams from all three major terrestrial broadcasters-KBS, SBS, and MBC-solidifying its position as an all-in-one platform.

The entertainment section has also expanded. Since January 1, popular new MBC variety shows such as 'Extreme 84,' 'Rookie Director Kim Yeonkyung,' and 'Omniscient Interfering View' have been released, with more hit content like 'Oh Eunyoung Report - Marriage Hell 2,' 'Late Night Ghost Talk,' and the 'Around the World' series set to be updated sequentially. The strategy is to target younger audiences with a variety show lineup that reflects the latest trends.

The drama section emphasizes a blend of new and classic titles. New releases heating up the home screen, such as 'Judge Lee Hanyeong' and 'The First Man,' are streamed immediately after their TV broadcast. The lineup of proven masterpieces is also solid, with well-made MBC dramas like 'The Red Sleeve,' 'White Tower,' and 'Such an Intimate Betrayer' being updated sequentially. The legendary sitcom 'High Kick' series is also scheduled for release, raising expectations among fans eager to binge-watch.

A Tving representative stated, "This expansion is significant not just for increasing the number of titles, but for creating an environment where users can enjoy all the content they want in one place. We will continue to strengthen our platform through ongoing collaboration with terrestrial channels."
