Nexen Tire to Supply OE Tires for Hyundai's China-Exclusive 'Elecsio'

On January 6, Nexen Tire announced that it will supply original equipment (OE) tires for Hyundai Motor's first China-exclusive electric vehicle, the Elecsio.

The supplied products are the 'N'Fera Supreme S' and 'N'Fera Primus QX EV'. The 'N'Fera Supreme S' is a high-performance all-season tire suitable for both electric and internal combustion engine vehicles. It features an artificial intelligence (AI)-based low-noise tread pattern design to enhance ride comfort. The tire maintains its performance even after wear, thanks to its 4D compound and pattern shape retention technology. Additionally, its aerodynamic design reduces air resistance and improves fuel efficiency.

The 'N'Fera Primus QX EV' is a high-performance summer tire designed for electric vehicles and optimized for sporty driving. Its fine groove design enhances cornering and lateral grip performance. The tire features an interlaced tread groove pattern to improve anti-slip and drainage capabilities, while the optimized tire shoulder width ensures stable cornering and handling.

Nexen Tire expects that supplying OE tires for the Elecsio will help expand its presence in the Chinese market. China is known for its strong preference for local brands, yet it is also a market with high trust in OE products.
