Lotte Duty Free Introduces 'Barrier-Free Kiosks' at Airport Pickup Areas

Lotte Duty Free announced on January 6 that it has officially introduced barrier-free kiosks at the duty-free product pickup areas of Incheon International Airport and Gimhae International Airport.

This initiative was planned in accordance with the Enforcement Decree of the Act on the Prohibition of Discrimination against Persons with Disabilities and Remedies for Their Rights, which was passed in 2023.

The barrier-free kiosks feature a customized design to ensure that information-vulnerable groups, such as people with disabilities and the elderly, can use the unmanned terminals easily and conveniently. The kiosks are equipped with a monitor lift function that adjusts the screen height to match the eye level of customers using wheelchairs, as well as voice guidance services for the visually impaired and those with low vision, and additional features such as high-contrast and magnification modes.

Lotte Duty Free has completed the installation of a total of 14 devices at the pickup areas of Incheon International Airport and Gimhae International Airport. The company also plans to expand deployment to Gimpo International Airport within the first half of this year. In addition, the user interface has been completely revamped to optimize the customer experience during the duty-free product pickup process.

A Lotte Duty Free representative stated, "We have introduced dedicated terminals so that our customers can use the duty-free product pickup service without inconvenience," adding, "We will continue to improve the digital experience across all online and offline channels to further enhance satisfaction with duty-free shopping."
