Daewoo Construction Holds Kickoff Ceremony at Headquarters on January 5

Kim Bohyun, CEO of Daewoo Construction, delivered his New Year's address on January 5, emphasizing that "safety is a lifeline that can never be compromised," and urged the entire company to focus its capabilities on ensuring safe worksites. The kickoff ceremony, held at the company's headquarters that day, was attended by Jung Wonju, Chairman of Daewoo Construction, CEO Kim, other company executives, and 42 new employees who joined the company this year.

CEO Kim shared the achievements made last year and expressed his gratitude to the employees. The company supplied 18,834 housing units last year, making it the top housing supplier among construction companies for the second consecutive year. In addition, Daewoo Construction expanded into Central Asia by winning the Turkmenistan mineral fertilizer plant project. The company also began full-scale operations on the Czech nuclear power plant project to secure future growth engines.

For this year's management policy, CEO Kim introduced "Hyper E&C." Specifically, this includes Hyper Safety, which aims to eliminate the possibility of accidents through a proactive prevention system based on smart technology; Hyper Quality, which seeks to impress customers with outstanding construction quality and meticulous finishing; and Hyper Connect, which refers to hyper-connectivity that links worksites and headquarters, as well as technology and people, through digital transformation centered on BIM and AI.

Addressing the new employees, CEO Kim encouraged them by saying, "Let us combine the bold spirit of new employees, inspired by the dynamic energy of the Year of the Red Horse, with the experience of our senior staff to make this a year of unprecedented progress."
