Sweeter Than Apples... Cheongsong County to Offer 15% Discount on Cheongsong Love Currency in 2026

Vitalizing Daily Life After Recovery
Achieving a New Leap Forward for the Local Economy

Cheongsong County in North Gyeongsang Province, led by County Governor Yoon Kyunghee, has once again turned to the Cheongsong Love Currency as a key card to stimulate local consumption.

The county will begin distributing and selling the "Cheongsong Love Currency," which has been driving local economic revitalization, to the public starting January 5.

To support the swift recovery of small business owners affected by the large-scale wildfire in 2025 and to reinvigorate the local economy, Cheongsong County plans to issue a total of 60 billion won worth of Cheongsong Love Currency for 2026, applying a 15% regular discount rate. The individual purchase limit will be set at 500,000 won.

The Cheongsong Love Currency will offer a special 15% discount benefit until the entire 60 billion won issuance is used up, and is expected to receive strong support from residents. It is anticipated to have a positive impact by helping small business owners recover their economic activities after the wildfire and by revitalizing the stagnant local economy.

A county official stated, "Thanks to the active participation of our residents in purchasing and using the Cheongsong Love Currency, we have made significant progress in boosting domestic demand. As we are applying a 15% discount rate to help restore economic activity and promote consumption in wildfire-affected areas, we encourage everyone to actively use the Cheongsong Love Currency."

Cheongsong County also plans to conduct ongoing guidance and monitoring to prevent fraudulent distribution due to the increased discount rate, and will strive to establish a transparent and sound distribution order for the Cheongsong Love Currency.
